Well, that has changed. Apple software update only updates iCloud. To update iTunes you must go to the Microsoft store. Even if you go to www.itunes.com

That will have the iTunes update checked. You then tab to the install update button. The update is well worth it as the column browser and Jaws issue is fixed.
