Hi Les, When you are in the messages app, are you trying to delete an entire conversation or individual messages inside a conversation? For some reason beyond my understanding Apple has implemented the action rotor setting which allows for deleting with a swipe down the screen in the main messages screen, i.e. you can delete an entire conversation that way. However, you still have to go to Edit and then double tap each individual message inside a conversation and then double tap the Delete button at the bottom right of the screen which at that point will indicate the number of messages selected for deleting.
