Hi Sieghard, I discovered that last night. I did have to go into the Edit screen to delete the group message I received. Until this week, I had not received any group message, so this is a new wrinkle to deal with. I'm just glad message deleting now works. For some reason, mail worked from the beginning, messages did not.
