If you should happen, a second time, to stumble across that well-meaning "Be
My Eyes" volunteer, ask him/her for his/her email address and send them that
very amusing Kathie Anne Murpher piece of writing about "Over there!"

Marie, I hope you explained to the volunteer how useless that phrase is for
people who are blind or low vision.
That is the deal with a volunteer service, you do not have the training or
quality control; but it is also free, so if it were me, I'd just explain things
to the volunteer, and if they just don't get it; disconnect and try again. Out
of their over 1.5 million volunteers, there is a good chance you won't get the
same person again.

I can only tell you about “Be my eyes” and a difficulty I experienced. A
volunteer said, ”over there”. That isn’t very helpful to a blind person. Marie
