It's the backlighting which really uses battery power, I doubt turning on 
screen curtain would make a measurable difference in battery use.

Did not know the Screen Curtain saved battery life. It blanks the screen by 
turning on all picture elements, making it look black. This uses battery power.

Too save battery, , say hey Siri, make screen darkest.
If someone sighted offers to help you with the phone, say Hey Siri make Screen 
brightest.
Or make the screen darker or brighter in 25% increments with hey Siri make 
Screen darker or brighter.
