That is basically correct. My annual renewal was just recently charged to my credit card and it was $83.something since there is 5% GST on top of the subscription and the subscription is either $79.95 or $79.99 a year. Keep in mind that there are no described videos on Amazon Prime at this point. You do also get free express shipping, though, and you get Amazon Music which is not there full music subscription which is called Amazon Music Unlimited, but it's still not too bad especially is you have an Echo and want to play some of the more popular music.
