If he wants to try it he should just use 1 comma, then test it and only if that 
is not long enough would I add a second comma.

Thank you, Sieghard, for your reply.  You bring up a good point when you 
mention how easy it could be for someone stealing a phone to gain access to an 
account if the "comma pause" feature were to be implemented.  This drawback 
coupled with the possible difficulty of precisely managing the number of commas 
to be inserted before the string of auto-dialed digits might well dissuade my 
friend from trying the feature; but I'll tell him about it anyway.
