While it does come in handy, there are often moments of frustration where it simply wont’ work. Tradeoffs for using a free app instead of a dedicated device made specifically for this purpose. I’ve contemplated getting an ID Mate, but doubt I’d use it enough to warrant the cost. My better half is sighted and I’ve always got my iPhone on me, so of course every situation is going to be different.
