Just to keep the orientation from switching back and forth between
portrait and landscape as you rotate your phone a bit one way or the other.

Put your finger on one of the items in the status bar. Then swipe up with
three fingers from the bottom of the screen. The control center will open.
Now swipe right to you get to the lock rotation button. Double tap to lock it
if it is unlocked.
