Peter, thank you for the detailed instructions. You do understand my problem, unfortunately I just tried your solution and I haven't been able to make it work, that is the "trash" button is still "dimmed" when I put the voice over back on and attempt to delete. However, I'm still not an experienced tapper (or tap and holder) so I will try again and ask someone else to give it a go when I have a chance. Considering my volume of mail (before duplicate and triplicate downloads) I really do need to get that feature functioning. (Even more so if I can't stop downloading messages that have theoretically been deleted from the server.)
