Hi, It makes sense that after turning it off with the keyboard that you would not be able to turn it back on with the keyboard. This is because the voiceover command, VO-H that you used by pressing it 3 times quickly, simulating pressing the home button 3 times quickly, is a voiceover command. I do not believe that any voiceover commands are recognized when voiceover is not running. So therefore of course the phone recognizes that you are pressing its actual home button when you go over to the phone and press it, however without voiceover actually running, it can not recognize VO-H as a press of the home button because voiceover is not running.
