I thought I would pose this question, since Apple just announced the update of
the iPod touch today. It will have the a10 processor, the same one that is in
an iPhone 7 or 7+. That makes it two years old going on three, just like my
iPhone 7 Plus. No other significant changes that I am aware of, except the
space. The cheapest one has 32 GB for $200, 128 for 300, and 256 for 400.
Earlier this year, they released the iPad mini five, with the A 12 chip. That
is the current chip. I can’t remember the prices for iPad mini, but my gut
reaction when I saw this, it was that Apple was cheeping out. They should have
given us at least the A 11 if not the 12th. I am really disappointed. I was
looking forward to perhaps purchasing an iPod touch, but now that I see that it
has the same processor as my iPhone 7 Plus, forget it.
