The first time you make a purchase on a new phone, they require you to enter
this information. Future purchases should not require the same.

HI Everyone,
I have face id set up on my XR phone, and I also use face id to the app
store, well, I wanted to download a couple free apps, but I kept getting the
message to enter my password as well as my security code, so I enter all
that information. I thought if I had face id set up to the app store I
wouldn't have to enter all that information. Ok, after I enter all that
information, I then get a message saying I need to enter my credit card
number, so I enter that, I then get a message saying I need to enter the
expiration date as well as the security code of my card. My question is why
do I need to log in using my password and security code, if I already have
face id set up for the app store? Why do I have to enter my credit card and
expiration date-security code, as I already have that information on my
phone? Can some kind soul tell me why is this please, especially when I
might be downloading a free app?
