Bonnie, please, check the Hadley videos. I can't begin to tell you how helpful they are. I just went to Google, typed:
Hadley Institute for Blind and Visually impaired Videos on iPhone. When you get to one, you'll have to Down Arrow to the Play Button. You know how some videos can be tricky. Apple Accessibility recommended that I try them. At that time, I could hardly flick. Now, I'm a big time flicker. I'd try to flick, and sometimes I'd go back, when I'd swear I'd be flicking forward. I have an iPhone and don't use it nearly as much as I could. I looked in to whether Ohio had any programs to help people learn to use them and didn't find any. I don't have the money to pay for lessons and am shy about working with people with technology. Although I have gotten over a lot of this, I am so afraid I will look like an idiot I have never looked in to doing this. I don't think Josh should give up so soon. He has family members who can help not so much with learning but getting him out of a scrape which I don't have because I live alone. With all we have heard about the iPhone, the one thing we all know is that it has a flat screen so should anticipate a huge learning curve.
