Gosh Mark, your message makes me curious to know if the improved volume and 
sound quality would apply to recordings made with the iphone 5 as well as the 
call quality.  I wonder about this because I tend to be a bit softspoken and on 
my 4S, I could never get my recordings to be loud enough, no matter which 
recording app I tried.  I too am on the fence about whether or not to upgrade, 
but if I could make better recordings with the 5 than I can currently with the 
4S, that might be at least one more selling point.
