There is one called the Drop Kitchen scale, Cristobal has one and seems to like it. I like smart stuff but this is one item where I am not so sure how well it would work and especially how responsive it is in terms of automatic read outs. I bake a lot the European way which means ingredients get weight instead of adding them by cup or table spoon, tea spoon etc. If I need 500 grams of flour I usually use a cup measurement to put it in the bowl which is on the scale, I have one of the MyWeigh talking scales. After I put on a bunch I wait for a couple of seconds and the scale tells me the weight, then I can add a bit more etc. I would have to know for sure that with something like the Drop Kitchen scale or any other which may exist I could have the app open and Voiceover focused on the right area and I would get virtually instant and automatic read outs, I would not want to have to touch the phone. I think Cristobal and others said that the MyWeigh talking scales keep breaking on them, I had my first one for at least 15 and maybe as long as 20 years, it then didn’t work any more and I contacted MyWeigh and they send me a new one for just a relatively small shipping fee of I think $20 or $25 Canadian. I definitely call this good customer service and doubt that Drop provides such a long warranty (I didn’t even have my original receipt or record of purchase any more). I have now had that new model for about 2 years and it’s been working flawlessly.
