I don’t see this as a problem on ios devices. This is a problem with the victor reader stream and the victor reader trek. Many people have had to send there stream or trek back to Humanware because the charging port no longer works.

It is supposed to save the port on the phone from damage from plugging the cables in and removing them so often. With the newer wireless charging this is not a factor any longer.
