No, you cannot add a ringtone to your phone by mailing it to you or by using Dropbox, OneDrive etc. The only way to get a ringtone added to your phone is via iTunes, by using Garage Band or by purchasing one from the Apple Store. OK, so there are other applications which can do it instead of iTunes like Waltr 2, iMazing and so on, but that’s an entirely different subject. Let’s hope Apple will lift this restriction at some point since they are now going to make it much easier to get files to your device from external sources at least in the upcoming new iPadOS.
Best regards, Sieghard From: [email protected] <[email protected]> On Behalf Of Arlene Sent: Friday, June 28, 2019 9:38 PM To: [email protected] Subject: how to move an email attachment to the ringtone folder I sent an email with a ringtone in an attachment on Wayne's phone. The only choices for moving the attached file is to move it to another mailbox. Is there anyway, to search for the file in the phone, and have more choices in moving it to the ringtone folder or if there's away to search from the ringtone folder? It might be something so simple we're missing. Thank you. Arlene -- The following information is important for all members of the V iPhone list.
