I am a fan of Writer from Voice Dream. It remembers where you left off in a file. It has lots of advanced mark up and editing features, if you want to delve into them, but as a straight text editor it is excellent. $9.99 in the app store. If you have Voice Dream Reader, you can proof read your documents with the default Voice Dream voice, otherwise it will use the iOS voice. HTH,
