You sometimes get what you pay for, but in many cases you also pay a lot more for brand name stuff which is not very different from a non branded product. When I look at these headphones from Sony and if they even show the information, they may use the same Bluetooth chip as a much cheaper product, after all, the chips are usually not made by Sony or Bose but by a third party manufacturer. These Boltunes headphones I bought for $72 Canadian (the were I think $59 US were well-made, they had already a Bluetooth 5.0 chip whereas most of the high-end brands still use Bluetooth 4.1 or 4.2 and they sounded very good. I simply decided over the ear was not for me, that would be no different if I bought a $300 Sony or Bose.
