It is a video doorbell like Ring but from Nest which is part of the Google family of companies.

That was why I but the wireless doorbell so I could keep my storm door locked, ask who it is before I opened it. I hesitate to get another wireless doorbell because of what happened to the first one, so I wondered what this device is and how it's used.
