Hi Christopher. I would do exactly as this page you gave says, but there's a problem. I can change the incoming port, but I'm not finding anything regarding the outgoing port. If I could change that, I think all would work great. I really wish I could get the native email app to work the way I want. I'd really prefer to use it over Outlook, because the native app has everything I need. Maybe I'm not setting something right, and all I have to do is reexamine it. I need to be careful doing that right now, however, because I'm one of those people who, when I start on a task like this, I'll keep at it until either I just can't get it to work, or I figure out what I'm doing wrong, and all finally works exactly the way I want. I'm Bipolar, and one of the Bipolar things with me is I can get so focused on something that time gets by me, and I'm up way too late. I'll give it a look, and hopefully it will work. If it does, I'll be very happy, but if it doesn't, I'll have to try to see if I can get Outlook configured.
Thanks a bunch for your instructions. Have a blessed day and don't work too hard. Kevin and Jilly P.S. As I said, I'll check the port settings, see if I need to, or even can change something, and I'll let the list know how it went. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] <[email protected]> On Behalf Of Christopher Chaltain Sent: Monday, September 2, 2019 7:43 PM To: [email protected]; Malcolm Parfitt <[email protected]> Subject: Re: I configured the email account I was having trouble with as i map. Here is what I can do with it. A page like the following from Spectrum support, which gives instructions on how to use their email on an iPhone might help. I did notice that it's using IMAP though. https://eur01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.spectrum.net%2Fsupport%2Finternet%2Fmobile-email-setup-ios-twc%3Fredirected%3Dtrue&data=02%7C01%7C%7C9565cf9f0c334493393708d72fff4070%7C84df9e7fe9f640afb435aaaaaaaaaaaa%7C1%7C0%7C637030645647523942&sdata=2JYI6c3dNG80qmtxVPOFLRuqbkJke5x0f6jTYWhbIlU%3D&reserved=0 On 9/2/19 10:42 AM, Malcolm Parfitt wrote: > Hello, > > > Sounds like your smtp server does not allow sending messages from outside > their network.
