I will probably never buy one of these gadgets because I am extremely disappointed in this company. I am in Canada and while it is a Canadian company, they don’t sell the Smart WiFi Instantpot in Canada. I can find it on Amazon Canada from third party sellers usually for around $300 or $400 which is of course ridiculous and it’s not on their own online store here in Canada. I have reached out to them several times via email and their official Facebook page and the responses I received if I received any at all were disappointing and full of BlaBlaBla. One of the first emails was full of big promises how they want to make products which can be used by everybody, but for me they are not a company which deserves my support and it’s not like I can’t cook anything I could cook in the Instant Pot on my shiny new connected GE Chef induction range. Sure, at times it might be nice to pressure cook something, but I must say that I have had an actual pressure cooker for 20 years and I rarely if ever use it. When it comes to rice I can just as easily use my rice cooker and if I want to slow cook something I can use my slow cooker. I guess the Instant Pot is all about cooking stuff in no time at all anyways. I don’t make yoghurt and I know perfectly well how to boil an egg so it comes out soft or hard or in the middle. Maybe in a way it’s good this didn’t work out because I am afraid if we had bought one of these things it would have just been another gadget to clutter up the cabinets.
