I noticed it too. Can't say it makes it less efficient to use though. I mean, it's just a quick button tap to edit/delete like lots of other apps do to edit items. I've more than once accidentally deleted something in apps when tapping and swiping and flicking real fast so for me, it's not that big a deal that this rotor action thing is gone. Different strokes for different folks and all that.
