So, going into Voice Control, you turn on what you want, but how do you call up Voice Control? Is it on all the time? Do you just give whatever is an appropriate command?

Be aware that it is constantly listening; so if you are in an edit box, anything it hears will be dictated. Yes, it is a battery hog since, again, it is always monitoring the microphone. I have set my phone up with Voice Control in the accessibility shortcut so I can triple tap home to turn it on. I use Siri to turn on VoiceOver. Again, if Voice Control is on, you do not have to touch the phone, just issue your command. Given that the commands are 9 pages long in a word document, er is a bit of a learning curve.
