Hi Mary, Maybe whatever version of Overcast one has on a device running iOS 12 will continue to work, but maybe then you won’t get updates. I am actually not just spreading an idea with no basis in fact, I was simply repeating what it said in the “What’s New” for the latest update from 2 days ago which I am quoting below and which you can read for yourself in the App Store description for Overcast:
What’s New - Oct 11, 2019 Version 2019.10 - Dark Mode support - Fixes for iOS 13 iOS 13 is now required. A bit further down in the app description it says: Compatibility Requires iOS 13.0 or later. Compatible with iPhone, iPad and iPod touch.
