Carolyn, You may need to decide when to use the Miccus as a Bluetooth headset and when not to. You can still use the headset and get some noise canceling but you won't have any Bluetooth functions.  I have had this headset for nearly a year and I do this all of the time if the battery needs recharging, but I'm too into a book and don't want to stop long enough to charge the headset. <grin>

Mine came with an additional connection cable so I could connect the headset via the SE's headphone Jack.  The cable connects to the round jack on the right ear and the other end connects to the phone's headphone jack or to a lightening port adapter if you have a newer phone without a headphone jack.  .  If you do this while the headset is powered off, it behaves like a normal wired headset.  You can use the headset to listen to audio, make and receive calls, etc.  The downside to this is that the headset needs to be powered off, so none of the hands-free functions you get when the headset is on and using Bluetooth will work.  You need to use the phone's home or side button to summon Siri to make calls.  Likewise you can't use the media buttons on the right ear to pause or resume audio, you'd need to wake the phone up to stop or pause.

Depending on how often you use your headphones or how often you need to take calls while listening with them, this method could work without needing to pair or re-pair your hearing aids or the headset.  It could get kind of confusing and inconvenient, though, but it could be an option.

Hope this helps.

Lisa

I don't have a problem if just using my hearing aids.

The forget this device dialog on the iPhone refers to the paired devices....
not the phone itself

Does it suffice to go into the iphone's bluetooth dialog and "forget this
device" for the hearing aides?

I bought a Bluetooth for my phone that I really like.
In order to get it connected, I turn off my hearing aids and

    is supposed to do.
But, now, here is my question. When I get my hearing aids
back on, they pair too. I do not want the hearing aids to
pair, when my Miccus device is paired, but I really need my
hearing aids in order to function.
So, anyone have any idea what to do to keep the hearing aids
from coming on when I turn on the phone one other than going
into Hearing and disconnecting them, then, when I need my
daily tinnitus treatment, I'd have to pair the hearing aids
again, and when treatment through, disconnect again? Surely,
there is a better way. What do you think, please?
