Hi, I find that it's somewhat inconsistent on my iPhone 4, and I use that gesture for starting/stopping streaming audio more than anything else. I never use the two-finger double-tap for answering calls. As soon as a call comes in I go immediately to the botttom of the screen and to a split-tap where it says "slide to answer". Works every time for me.
