Thanks, Anna. I had set it for 70 seconds, but I didn't realize that dropping my wrist would override that.
I don't know how others feel about this, but I really wish there would be an option to turn off the sounds with voiceover as there is on the phone. Other than that, I am really liking my 5th gen watch. To control how long the watch stays awake, open the Watch app on your phone, choose General, then Wake Screen. You have the options of it staying on for 15 or 70 seconds. Choose the option you want. The watch goes to sleep if you drop your wrist, so don't do that if you want it to stay awake.
