Hmmmm! I have Whatsapp on my iPhone 8 and downloaded it from the app store. I don't remember a Whatsapp Messenger. The Whatsapp I have can be used world wide but a person has to be in your iPhone contacts to make the contact. There is an option to send a voice message on my app.
