Hello, a couple of things. After double tapping, does it say text field is editing, so you know that the double tap activated the edit field? Sometimes voice over loses focus on the edit field, even though you double tapped it. Also try swiping out of the edit field and back to it. This happens to me in an app I use and the swiping out then back solves it for me.
