OK, while on the first call, the number pad should still be on the screen, if 
not, you will need to bring it up.
Near the bottom right of the screen is a Hide button.
That hides the standard keypad.
You now have 6 items roughly where numbers 1 through 6 would be on the screen.
One of those, and I think it is around where the 4 would have been, is Add call.
Press that, and dial or select a contact.
When that call is connected, that add call should now say join calls.
It's not bad once you've done it a few times.
