This is worth a try. I have not experienced the problem, still being on 12.4.4. In the past, when the dots have become all messed up, I have done a three-finger swipe down, and it has said unlocked, and the problem is solved. Hold the phone in landscape, and do the three-finger swipe down, going from where dot 1 would be, toward dot three. I am curious to know if this fixes it.
