Your iPhone came with a set of Earpods which have an in-line remote for Play/Pause, skip/rewind, volume etc. If of course you want a larger over the hear headset you have to get another, but any Lightning headset if it is made to Apple's specifications should have an in-line remote which can do all these things and there certainly should not be any hissing, it's digital so if there is hissing back in the box and to Amazon they would go with me. I don't always buy the most expensive brands out there, but you do sometimes get what you pay for. I have a pair of V-Moto lightning over the ear headsets which have a beautifully soft leather ear cup and they came with 2 cables, one a shorter one with the inline remote and a longer 6-foot one without. They did cost about $200 Canadian at the time (years ago), but they are very nice and sound fantastic. If you already have some good 3.5mm headsets all you would have to get is a Lightning to 3.5mm adapter and you can use them. Even the original Apple one is I think only $10.
