Thanks, all. The comments about wired vs. wireless are interesting. Do most makers of headphones allow you to plug directly into the lightning port? or must you always have an adapter handy? I tend not to be a fan of wires as a concept, but have not thoroughly tested Bluetooth headphones to compare.
