Although I haven't tried this method, you could still delete and reinstall the app after you backed up the info to icloud. You do need to go through and turn on various settings, then check to make sure the backup has been completed. As I said, I've not deleted and reinstalled, but I hope that if this situation comes up, it will keep a record of not only the 250 podcast feeds I've subscribed to, but the actual episodes I've chosen.
