What was the error message? I believe Overcast is a good alternative and is free, for the most part. You could import your podcasts from Downcast into it. On my iPhone, I’ve been using Downcast for my podcasts for a long time. A few days ago, I finished listening to a podcast, and I tried refreshing Downcast to download any new ones. The next time I went back and ran Downcast, there was an error message and a question asking if I wanted to send an anonymous report about the error message. Since then, I’ve not been able to listen to any podcasts, because Downcast always crashes. I was thinking of erasing the app from my phone and redownloading it, but then I’d lose all of the podcasts I’ve not heard yet.
