Right, but it would be nice to be able to set up those kinds of rules on the iPhone. More and more people are just using devices and not a computer.

If you want to have messages from a group such as this go to a specific mailbox that can be done with mail rules in the mail app on a Mac computer. Thats how I sort out several mailing lists. I have done this also in google in the past so I expect most mail applications, at least on the computer can do that. My iPhone in box seems to be following the rules I set up on my computer. I must admit however that I read most list emails on my computer by going to the mail box. I don’t usually do that on my iPhone. Still the messages are getting filtered correctly when I check my mail on my iPhone.
