Some people do not like using Siri. Yes, that is the fastest on an iPhone, assuming Siri is working at that moment. Favorites means, you can either open Phone, then Favorites and have all those listings right there, or you can swipe to the Today screen and have them right there, or you can do a long press or 1 finger triple tap on the phone app and have them right there.
