If you are as used to your Favorites screen as I am, you can just about land on the one you want any time, that is if Favorites is not loaded. I keep mine to a minimum of about ten or twelve.

Of course if you activated the Keypad tab then the next time you open the Phone app it will be there, but the same applies for Favourites and it is just as easy or easier to swipe through your list of Favourites or drag your finger down the screen to find the one you want and double tap on it. You can even put them in the order you want with your most frequently dialed Favourites in the first few positions and you can, of course, determine which number is called, e.g. Home o rMobile, you could even have the same Favourite twice in the list, first with their Mobile and second with their Home number, you could add a Favourite so it makes a Facetime video call to them or you can even add a Favourite so when you double tap on the name it would open the Messages app with their name already in the “To” field so you could send a text message to them. Yes, that is the fastest on an iPhone, assuming Siri is working at that moment. Favorites means, you can either open Phone, then Favorites and have all those listings right there, or you can swipe to the Today screen and have them right there, or you can do a long press or 1 finger triple tap on the phone app and have them right there.
