Actually, the one that you're referring to was one of my older ones. This one has a USB port on the very top edge of the keyboard and it holds a charge for a long time. I really haven't figured out the length of time, but it's perhaps a few months. I use this keyboard all the time because I feel I can type faster than trying to type on the phone. However, I do like to type on the phone just to keep up my skills on the touch screen. Good luck on whatever keyboard you choose.
