Jim is exactly right. Double tap on that App Visible button and it will change to Apps Hidden and the clutter will be forever gone unless you accidentally or intentionally, switch it back to apps visible.

You may find, that if you flick right from where your phone says Camera, you may hear Apps, Visible, Double Tap to Toggle the App Bar.
