I know I posted earlier what I thought was a fix, but it went south on me again. But I have fixed it now. And OMG, I can't believe it. But it was dust and gunk in the headphone jack, a whole lot of it! I got the gunk out using a toothpick and very very gentle scraping action. I can't believe the large piece of dust that came out of my poor headphone jack. Really gross!
