Hi Josh, I'd highly suggest not thinking of face ID as crap,
I've used it for the passed almost 3 years and have had no issues with it, I think you'll find that face id is with us for a number of years to come yet, Infact the 2021 iphone is rumoured to have both face id and touch id I've used both and each has their pro's and con's Until you have actually tried it, Don't knock it.
