I just got my SE on Saturday and am loving it. I have experienced both face and touch id. No real preference here. Both work great. Very happy with my purchase. I wouldn't go back to the 8. Yeah, it's the same size, but the SE is much more powerful and will get a few more years worth of updates than the 8.
