I am pretty sure this would not work as that's now how face id works. it's
not just hte immage but, geometrics of the face as I've heard it explained.

It's in the Face ID and Passcodes item in Settings. You can toggle "Require
attention for face ID" on or off. Note as stated before, it's turned off by
default when you enable Voice Over. I know this has been said before as
well, but when you go into Settings -> Face ID and Passcode, it explains
that this setting gives you an added level of security because it checks to
see if you're looking at the phone before unlocking it. Like I said in a
previous message, this keeps someone from waving the phone in front of your
face when you're napping to unlock your phone.
I also noticed that in Face ID and Passcode you can also set up an
alternative appearance. I suppose this would be good if you're having
trouble with face ID when you take your glasses off.

As it has been quite some time since I last posted to the group, I thought

chime in on this thread.
1.
I use both iPhone 8 Plus and iPHone 11 on a daily basis. I am not a fan
of Face
ID; however I acknowledge that many people love the feature. I use the
Attention Aware option, which makes iPhone 11 more secure.
2.
I love having a Home button. While I use iPhone 11 daily, my experience
seems
slower because of a lack of a Home button. Just my experience, only.
3.
I recently purchased an unlocked Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus Smartphone with
an
in-display sonic Touch ID sensor Home button. I absolutely love, love,
love
it!!!!!!!!!! I think it is one of the most amazing pieces of technology I
have ever
encountered.
Simply stated, the sonic Touch ID acts just like a legacy home button
without
having to reserve any of the actual device’s hardware real estate. It
just works.
As I have absolutely no intention of starting any kind of debate between
those
who prefer Samsung hardware to those who prefer Apple, I will say that I
truly
hope that Apple will implement an in-screen / in-display Touch ID sensor
on the
next hardware release of iPhone.
However, as to your question, I would always choose an 8 Plus over the S E
because, unless I am mistaken, the 8 Plus has a larger display than the S
E;
screen size is extremely important to me.
If you are not concerned with display size, then, assuming you cannot wait
until
the next release of iPhone in order to see if it does or does not have a
Touch ID
sensor, the S E sounds like a winner, to me.
Again, Happy Birthday and know that whichever device you get, it will be
well
worth the money.

My mother is thinking of having my grandma give me Amazon gift cards
towards
an iPhone 8 for my birthday next month, as well as helping to fund it
herself.
Does anyone still use one? I cannot afford one of the phones with Face ID,

could hardly get my old iPhone X to recognize my face half the time, hence
why I
gave it back to T-Mobile about a year and a half ago, or maybe it was two
years… lol.
But anyway, between the iPhone SE 2, and the iPhone 8, which one would you
guys recommend? As I said, I am looking for something with Touch ID. Not
just
cause of not getting it to unlock hardly. That is part of it, but the
other reason, is
I have Cerebral Palsy in my whole right side and so having something with
Touch
ID would be easier for me.
