I'm not going to pretend to understand all the features offered by the various password manager apps and programs. I will say that I don't like any software doing things for me automatically. I use my KeePass password manager by remembering its master password and whenever I go to a site or app that requires a password, I sign into KeePass, look up the applicable entry, and copy and paste its password to the requesting site from KeePass. I also make sure if the site is new and requires registration that I set up an entry for it in my KeePass database.
