So there is a temporary fix that helps minimize the voice over lag you'll experience in IOS 14, and this is really simple and easy. You simply add a second language to your rotor and switch to it. I just added English Samantha like I use for the default. When you switch to it in the rotor, the lag is gone. So here's how to do this for those who want to know. Head over to settings, accessibility. Then go to voice over and go to speech. Find add rotor language and select your desired language. Then you can select the voice you wish to use. Once you have it set up, turn the rotor until you get to language and flick up or down to switch to it. So basically when you switch from your default language in the rotor the lag is substantially reduced. Some of you probably have this already set up if you like to switch voices on the fly. So just switch from your default language and see if you notice the difference. If you don't see a difference, remove the second rotor language and redo it.
