Just curious, why would you not buy a regular 12 with a 6.1 inch screen, still
larger than your current 5.5 inch screen of your 6S Plus. In fact, you could
buy an iPhone 11 which would cost youless than half of what the 12 Pro would
cost and then when Apple releases their phones next year or the year after that
and they include both in-display Touch Id and Face Id you can get one of them
and sell your ipHone 11.

Subject: Preparing for face ID as a new user.

Hello, so I've held onto my 6s plus for five years, since I had a bunch of
music and books on it. I'm planning on upgrading to the 12 max, since I want
the long battery life and the screen size for braille screen input. I'll be
upset if touch ID comes back in a phone in the next year, because I will have
spent money in this phone, but oh well. My main question is about the lock
screen. From working with the phones of the students I teach, I'm comfortable
with the gesture of press, slide, and lift to do the home and other things, but
was checking on a few other things. I understand that you won't accidentally
buy something just when you face towards the phone, because you need to click
the side button twice, but will it stay on the lock screen while you're
flipping through your notifications until you actually perform the home
gesture? If you tap on a notification, I'm assuming you'll need to perform the
home gesture to activate that part, then another home gesture to come out to
the main screen? Is that correct?
Thanks, Matthew
