Both the HomePod Mini and the standard have Siri and VoiceOver built-in. I think the deciding factor should be if you want a stand-alone smart speaker that can also stream from your iPhone and give you perhaps a much better sound than your phone's speaker. I do not have a smart speaker. I do have a good sounding bluetooth speaker, and I can stream to my stereo; so I do not have a need for a smart speaker at this point.
